Bridging Heritage & Community.

The Canadian Indonesian Social Club (CISC) is dedicated to preserving Indonesian culture and fostering deep community roots in Calgary.

OUR OBJECTIVE

A Foundation of Inclusive Cooperation

CISC is a proud non-profit organization operating with a clear mandate: we are non-political and non-religious. Our core purpose is to provide a neutral, welcoming ground for all Canadians of Indonesian descent and friends of Indonesia.

“To promote and foster cooperation among its members through organized social and cultural activities.”

OUR STORY

Rooted in 1983

The Canadian Indonesian Social Club was established in Calgary in 1983. It was born from the vision of Canadians of Dutch and Indonesian descent who wanted to bridge their unique identities.
What started as a small group of families meeting in living rooms has flourished into a pillar of the Southern Alberta cultural landscape. Our founders recognized that heritage isn’t just something you keep; it’s something you share.
